Jewish/Christian History - LSM 202

This course is designed to provide students with a foundational understanding of the historical development of the Christian Church from the close of the biblical narrative to the present day. Students will explore key questions such as:
  • How did the early church survive and grow?
  • What led to its separation from Judaism?
  • How did Judaism endure through history, and how do current events align with biblical prophecy regarding Israel?
  • What were the causes and consequences of the split from Catholicism during the Protestant Reformation?
  • How did the various Christian denominations emerge?
Through historical analysis and theological reflection, students will gain insight into the major movements, events, and figures that shaped church history.
